Paladin Guides:

Guide 1 – The Basics Of Paladin

Us paladins are distance fighters, we are the most well-rounded vocation, being able to use melee, distance and magic. BUT we are distance fighters after all, that is where our strenght TRULLY lies, remember YOU are a PALADIN not a knight, not a mage, a paladin.

Getting Started:

Some people decide they want to be paladins and so they use distance fighting while they are still in rookgard, wich is a very bad idea... Using spears/bow on rookgard will increase your time being there way too much and all you will get from it will be something like 15 distance fighting. You can get that in main AS A PALADIN in LESS than 60 MINUTES!

Finally in Mainland:

When you make it to mainland, do not hesitate to get spears... KEEP your rookgard weapon, first thing you have to do is get lvl 9 and get the light healing spell (exura), when you have done that then you can buy spears, but KEEP your rookgard weapon aswell, go hunt weak suff with your spears (trolls, rotworms, orcs, minos) and when you run out of spears, use your rookgard weapon to make it back to the city and buy more spears.

Keep doing that until you reach at least 25 distance, then you can say good bye to your rookgard weapon.

NEVER have FULL mana, your magic level will grow really slow, and you need every mana point you can get.

Hunting:

When you are still a low level you should stay close to town hunting weak stuff until you can use the conjure arrow spell (exevo con) then you can get a bow, buy spears and use exevo con while hunting when you have almost full mana, that way you can hunt longer and level up faster.

Some paladins dont run when they are using spears, because they can still block a good amount of damage using their shield, BUT we are distance fighters, remember? Paladins do more damage from distance, and miss less from distance too, if that was not enough you wont get damage if you dont get hit. So doing that will most likelly be a bad thing for you... You are not a knight, run like a paladin.

I recommend using regular spears until you are level 50... Why? Because if you use regular spears you can hunt longer than using hunting or royal spears, also dealing a bit lower damage, will help you train your distance, because it will take a few more hits to kill the creatures.

Healing:

Healing is simple, when low level you should carry 1~5 health potions and 1~10 mana potions, use health potions only in emergencies, healing using your mana will increase your magic level, and will be a lot cheaper, giving you a lot more profit and on the long run exura san will heal you more than potions.

When higher level 1bp of healing potions should be enough and the rest should be only mana potions.

Use light healing (exura) as much as you can, exura gives the most healing per mana of the healing spells, so using exura as much as you can, will minimize your waste and maximize your profit.

Train:

If you have a friend you can train with, then do it, training will increase your damage, reduce the time it takes to kill, the ammo it takes to kill and the time it takes to level up. So even when training is boring, it IS worth it.

To train on monks, use spears until you have 40+ distance fighting, then use small stones, ALWAYS use defensive fighting, so the monk will last longer and you can train more.

Pvp train is better than monk training, it is the same as monk training, except players have more hp than monks, and can heal more too, so pvp training will give you better results.

This is all for now, Ty for reading.

avatar While hunting at a low level, you don't have to stay close to a city if you have your rook weapon. Rather find a monster that's good for killing in that it supplies food (for magic training) and ammo (for distance training). An ideal enemy is trolls and then goblins (spears/meat, and small stones/whatever monster is nearby). Also I find that having a good shielding is VERY important. You are a paladin yes but you don't always get to run away, such as certain dragon hunting spots or what have you which require you to block melee while also killing. This is why I strongly suggest always using a shield and avoiding bow or x bow unless you are hunting with a blocker. With 70 or so shielding you can hunt dragons with much less waste on mana potions and more often than not cover the cost with loot.

avatar I agree with Timmy. More often than not I find myself having to "block" monsters I'm atking rather than running them.

avatar I agree on the fact that you wont be able to run 100% the time. But, it is supossed to be a "starting from zero - guide" and on the lower levels you CAN run 100% the time, of course shielding is needed and that is why you will most likelly train it when your level is high enough to hunt more challenging creatures.
